Group Training
90-minute camps held monthly in Kaysville and Lehi. Sessions are capped at 6 athletes, and cost $75.
Small group sessions allow goalkeepers to experience game-realistic situations, see shots from multiple angles, and build leadership skills as they interact with each other.
1:1 Training
60-minute sessions catered to your athlete’s specific needs and goals. 1:1 training is best for keepers who have specific areas they want to refine. This is a package of 4 sessions that costs $500.
With your athlete, you’ll identify 2-3 specific skills and 1 specific game situation to focus on. Your coach will design a training plan specifically for your athlete targeted to achieve the outcomes you decide on together.
Mental Performance Training
Most of what a goalkeeper needs to be successful is totally ignored in the game today: mental training.
An athlete can learn all the technical skills and build tactical understanding, and still struggle to succeed or even enjoy the game.
In this package of 4 sessions, your athlete will work with Brian Simmons to dissect mental obstacles, understand their 4 Ps, make plans to take real action, and focus on becoming (not achieving).
Brian has been training goalkeepers since 2011. He has been director of goalkeeping for multiple clubs in Utah over the years, including Wasatch SC, MetaSport FC, UDA, and Saratoga Springs FC. From 2018-2023 he was the Director of Goalkeeping for all public GK camps offered by Real Salt Lake; he now evaluates and trains goalkeepers as part of the Elite Development Program developed by Jason Kreis.
Jason had this to say about Brian:
“I have worked with Brian many times in soccer coaching environments. It is immediately apparent how much he cares for his job and for the [athletes] he is working with. He shows excellent organization in his sessions, excellent communication…and extreme care in his post session evaluations of them.”
Brian's greatest success on the field was starting in goal for back-to-back state championship teams at Bountiful High School. During high school he was a two-year team captain, earned multiple all-state recognitions, and was named team MVP.
He helped continue the success at BHS as a coach during the boys 2013 state championship run, as well as the girls first runner up finish that year. Brian served as the head coach for the Providence Hall boys and girls soccer teams from 2019-2022. He coached the Lone Peak girls soccer goalkeepers during their dominant state championship run in 2023.
